Happy Holidays! On Christmas Eve, I headed to Little Tokyo in Downtown Los Angeles for ramen and ice cream while catching up with some high school friends. We went to Ramen Maruya located in the Japanese Village. This is one of my favorite restaurants for ramen, and there is never a long wait around noon. I ordered their spicy tonkotsu ramen. Toppings includes thinly sliced pork charshu, boiled egg, bean sprouts, nori, green onions, and spicy sauce.
Next, we went to Midori Matcha Cafe. It’s walking distance from the Japanese Village. Midori Matcha Cafe is popular for their matcha soft-serve ice cream. Their ice cream is creamy, not too sweet, and it has a hint of bitterness from the matcha powder sprinkled on top.
Happy Holidays everyone!
