Disney’s Classic Afternoon Tea – Anaheim, CA

I finally recovered from the flu! For some reason I always get sick after my birthday week. Anyways, my birthday is on the first week of January (Capricorn babies), and my sister, my friend (whose birthday is also on the first week), and I decided to celebrate with afternoon tea. This is our second time coming here, so we agreed to keep it as our annual birthday tradition.

Located inside the Disneyland Hotel in Downtown Disney, Steakhouse 55 gives of a classic 1950s feel with their mahogany furnitures which is a perfect match for having tea. I ordered their “premium tea party” set which comes with:

Sparkling Wine – Iron Horse Fairy Tale Cuvee Brut, Green Valley

Traditional Scones with seasonal fruit preserves, Devonshire cream, and lemon curd

Salad – Baby gem lettuce with green goddess dressing (it was an avocado dressing)

Tea Sandwiches – Cucumber and watercress, Salmon gravlax, deviled cage free egg salad, heirloom tomato and mozzarella

Desserts – Chocolate covered strawberry, mini fruit tart, assorted macarons

Farewell Truffle – Decadent chocolate truffle

You also get your choice of assorted tea leaf teas and herbal infusion. You’re allowed to choose more than one different tea. I ordered Russian Earl Grey tea, and later I asked for their Perfect Afternoon tea which is a blend of Assam, Darjeeling, and Ceylon tea. We chatted for about 3 hours happily sipping on tea and eating. It’s a great experience if you’re ever in Disneyland, but be sure to RSVP ahead of time.
