What I Ate in a Week | Food Diary

This year, I’m trying to eat and cook more healthy meals without giving up bad food completely (e.g. my ramen and fried chicken). That’s why I’m excited about writing a food diary to log what I have been eating. For the week of March 5-11, I didn’t really do a good job of taking photos of my food, so here are some of my lunches and dinner throughout the week.

Lunch: Wingstop – Mild, Garlic Parmesan, and Louisiana Rub boneless wings with a side of veggie sticks (carrots & celery), and seasoned fries well-done.

Lunch: Menudo –Β A traditional Mexican soup, made with beef stomach (tripe) in broth with a red chili pepper base. The broth is seasoned with fresh lime, onions, and cilantro. My co-worker’s mom made this, and it’s delicious!

Dinner: Spaghetti all’arrabbiata with Mushroom. A spicy pasta sauce made with garlic, tomato, and red pepper flakes fried in olive oil. I like to add mushrooms to my pasta dishes, and for this dish, I added brown shimeji mushrooms.

Lunch: My sister made me lunch! Cold soba noodles salad – soba noodles (buckwheat noodles) with grilled chicken, snow peas, and thinly slicked green onions topped with sesame dressing.

Lunch: Our company had a company luncheon, so two of my co-workers and I all ordered a different dish to share. Ahi crunchy salad, penne with chicken, and a Margherita pizza with an add-on of mushrooms, onions, and garlic.

Lunch/Dinner: I went to my parents’ house, and my mom made fried chicken (to bribe me into helping with errands), and lotus root soup (forgot to take photos).

Lunch: Sushi! Celebrating my sister’s boyfriend birthday. Some favorites are salmon, mackerel, albacore, and tuna nigiri.

Dinner: McDonald’s chicken sandwich and fries (no shame) πŸ™‚
