On Dec. 13, 2018, I had the opportunity to help out during the red carpet premiere of Dragon Ball Super: Broly (English dub) at TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. The Dragon Ball (DBZ) series has always been one of my favorite animes growing up. Since then I have been a long-time fan of the franchise and Vegeta – Yes, my favorite DBZ fighter is Vegeta. Dragon Ball Super: Broly comes out in US theaters January 16, 2019.
A few months ago I bought a Olympus XA2 film camera from eBay for a decent price. This camera is light and compact, and I can easily bring it with me everywhere I go. I find that film photography is still a bit challenging for me since I only have 24-36 exposures, and I won’t see the end result until it’s developed. Overall, I’m somewhat happy with how some my photos came out.

Last week, My sister and I went to Disneyland with our aunt and little cousins. It was their first time ever at Disneyland, so they wanted us to take them around the park. We arrived at the park around 9 a.m. and there was already a lot of people lining up to get into either Disneyland Park and Disneyland California. Summertime, is one of the busiest time of the year at Disneyland since it’s summer vacation, so arrive early because you can spend some time getting parking, going through bag-check, and riding the tram/shuttle to the park.

On July 5-8, Anime Expo 2018 (AX18) welcomes anime and manga fans to the Los Angeles Convention Center in California. This is my 9th year attending Anime Expo, as well as my 3rd year volunteering with the Press Relations department. Although, I had a very busy schedule, I was still able to cosplay on day 1, and shop in the exhibit hall before noon each day. I felt like I barely slept throughout the 4-day event, so it was very tough going back to work on Monday. Here are some photos I’ve taken at AX18:
Happy Lunar New Year and happy Friday! I wish everyone a wonderful new year filled with luck, happiness, good health, and prosperity.
I haven’t done an outfit post in forever, so today, I am sharing a casual outfit that I wore to work. I wore leggings and an over-sized sweater, which is a great simple outfit for transitioning into spring. Southern California is already in 70-77° weather, but if you live in a cooler climate, I would throw on a jacket or scarf to stay extra warm. This beige sweater has diamond patterns in front with hints of white and pink which makes the look a bit more feminine. For shoes, I wore patent leather loafers with tassel detail for a dressy look.
2017 was another wonderful year with great happy memories! Here are some of my best moments of 2017 🙂
- Birthday celebration with Disneyland’s Afternoon Tea
- Meeting One Ok Rock
- Attending Pixar Exhibition at the Los Angeles Science Center
On Saturday, I went hiking with my friend, and this is my first hike of 2017 (yea, really late). It was my first time at Sturtevant Falls, and everything is gorgeous. We woke up at 5:30 am, and arrived at the trail at about 6:35 a.m. It’s gets really crowded on weekends, and we were surprised to see there was a good amount of cars in the parking lot already.
In southern California, you’ll find that most of the tress are still green because we don’t really have winter here. This is a 3.1 mile hike, which we did not finished. Why? because a little over a mile into the trail, I asked my friend if he put up his parking permit (you have to pay for parking here). And, he didn’t. So, we had to hike back up the trail. This trail is mostly downhill, and the way back it’s up-hill. By the time we got back to the car, we were exhausted and hungry. So, we decided to call it a day, and go back next week or next month (depending on our schedule) to finish the trail. We’ve made a commitment, and we’re going to finish it. Also, there’s a waterfall at the end.
Here are some photos that I took with my Canon EOS M3.
A while back, I started film photography. There was a lot of trial and error, but I enjoyed every moment of it. I hope to continue improving my skills, and learn from my mistakes. Here are some shots from my first roll.
