The weather has been cooling down in southern California, so it’s a good time to start bringing out my sweaters. Lately, the weather has been 68-78° Fahrenheit or 20-25° Celcius. I know, that’s not that cold. but growing up in an area where winter doesn’t really exist, I get cold easily.

I wore this casual outfit to work as part of our “business casual” dress-code. My company has been rather lenient on our dress-code, especially when the bosses are out of town. On this day, I wore a beige sweater, light-blue jeans, and beige booties. Continue reading “Work Outfit: Beige Sweater & Booties”→
It’s been a while since I did an outfit post. I noticed, I’ve been writing a lot about my food and travel, and neglecting this category of my blog. My Monday thru Friday consists of business casual outfits, and since autumn has arrived (kinda), I’m slowly transition into my fall outfits. Lately, the company I work for hasn’t been strict on our business casual dress code – I don’t even know what our dress code is anymore with all the different outfits I see in the office haha. This outfit is very neutral consisting of beige, white, and navy.
Recently, I bought a taupe ankle boot from Sole Society. I’ve never bought shoes from Sole Society before, and I decided to take the chance and order it since reviews said sizes run small. I wear size 4.5 to 5, and Sole Society’s River Ankle Boot in size 5 was a perfect fit. I get up often at work, and I walk around the corporate building during break. These boots were comfortable, and my feet did not hurt at all.
My next two purchase was from Liz Lisa’s official eBay store. It’s difficult making purchases from Japan because most Japanese clothing brands do not ship internationally, so you have to use a shopping service. Now, with websites such as Tokyo Otaku Mode, and their Liz Lisa Official eBay store, I am able to purchase these items without paying the extra fees on top of shipping. I bought their suede jacket in beige, and a navy floral skirt. Both of these pieces are perfect for my casual office environment.
This light-weight suede jacket comes in one size, and the jacket length is not too long, which is perfect for my short height. The sleeve length is slightly long on me, but not too big of a deal.
Next, is Liz Lisa floral skirt. The dark navy color is great for a casual office environment, or to wear out to places. Also, this skirt has pockets – 2 in front, and 2 in back!
I bought this Liz Lisa dress from Tokyo Otaku Mode. Thankfully, I was able to snatch it before it went out of stock. I was pretty hesitant about buying this dress because I was worried about the fit in the chest area. Surprisingly, the fit is perfect. This dress gives off a very elegant, classy, and girly feel. From the waist down, the skirt has a gorgeous lace floral detail. I have too many pink dresses, so I decided to buy this dress in blue.

Since summer is approaching, I’ve been wanting to wear more skirts, shorts and dresses. Today is about 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Los Angeles, so I wanted to wear something light since I walk around the corporate building during break to get some exercise in. The skort, or sukupan, I’m wearing is from the Japanese brand Liz Lisa. I like how it’s high-waisted, and it gives off a skirt-like appearance. I wasn’t sure how to style this piece, so I decided to pair it with a white collar button-up shirt, grey cardigan, and some brown flats. I originally wanted to wear this outfit with some grey or beige heels, but I can’t because I was clumsy and got a cut on my foot. To match with my brown flats, I’m using my Louis Vuitton Speedy 25.
